Terms of Service (Core Clauses)

The Forensic Lab: Terms of Service (Core Clauses)

Authorization to Analyze: The Client represents and warrants that they are the legal owner of the hardware submitted or have explicit written authorization from the owner to conduct forensic analysis, reverse engineering, and signal auditing.

Risk of Hardware Failure: Client acknowledges that hardware forensics—including UART/JTAG soldering and firmware extraction—carries an inherent risk of device failure ('bricking'). Simplified Security Solutions is not liable for the loss of hardware functionality during the audit process.

Data Integrity: We do not guarantee the recovery of encrypted data. Our focus is on hardware integrity and telemetry analysis. All data handled is subject to our non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Illegal Content Policy: We strictly prohibit the submission of any hardware or data containing illegal material. If such material is discovered during a forensic audit, we reserve the right to terminate the project immediately and comply with mandatory reporting requirements to relevant law enforcement agencies.

Chain of Custody: The lab maintains a digital Chain of Custody (CoC). Any hardware not claimed within 60 days of project completion will be securely destroyed and recycled unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
